Searching

27 Mar

One thing that I like about having a blog is seeing what search terms bring people by. Some of them are obvious and make sense.

  • youngest senior
  • worlds youngest senior
  • senior citizen blog

Others make sense because I know I’ve blogged about them.

Some are kind of sad.

  • senior citizen finds knitting exhausting
  • moving senior citizens

Others are sweet.

  • nice thought for the world
  • senior citizen love affair
  • home made friendship card

Oh cats and their owners. We’re an obsessed, crazy lot aren’t we?

  • world’s youngest cat
  • cat climbing cupboard
  • cat is top of cupboard
  • world’s most annoying cat

Some leave me wondering why people would be looking this up.

  • cherry pie cartoon adult humor
  • crispy minis caramel are amazing
  • senior year is awesome
  • bc ferries food poisoning sushi 2011

Others leave me slightly concerned and saying “What the…”

  • world’s youngest whore at work

The Light

22 Mar

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. If all goes as planned, I’ll be finished my degree in 145 days. Or 3503 hours. Or 210208 minutes. I’ve been working on it since 1999. That’s eleven years!! Sure I’ve been to more post-secondary institutes than I can count on one hand, but nonetheless, I’m using those credits and I’m almost done!!

As you can probably guess from the lack of blog activity, the past while has been incredibly busy. I’m trying to balance life with a new job, a course with a fair amount of group work, and well, the rest of life! There have been moments where I just want to hide under my desk and retreat from the world. The next few months are going to be equally if not more busy than the past few. It’s the final push and I can hardly wait.

On August 15th, at approximately 9:00 p.m., I’ll be finished. I’ve got all sorts of plans for August and September. All those things that I’ve been putting off will be tackled. I dream of the evening that I come home from work and can do absolutely nothing, if that’s what I choose. Chances are I’ll be doing the opposite. Sewing projects, knitting projects, Spanish classes, photography classes, more dance classes. Maybe even training for a half-marathon?!

So bear with me over the next while. I’ll be back in full on blogging, cooking, baking, sewing, crafting mode in all its senior citizen glory soon enough. In about 210189 minutes if we’re counting.
